Parish Priest's Message

The Sacred heart parish in Bangalore is a ‘fountain of peace, faith and hope’ in the center of the bustle and rush of the city. In today’s times ‘change’ seems to be the only constant and every man seems to be always in a hurry. Today’s man finds himself caught up in various crisis – professional/career, marital/relationship, financial, ethical/moral and in the middle of all these struggles; many a times one forgets to pause and call on ‘God’.

In the book of Isaiah chapter 41 and verse 10 the lord assures us – “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” When I walk around the parish during weekdays, I find many people who stop by and pray near the statue of sacred heart of Jesus, Mother Mary and then they visit the chapel of the Blessed sacrament and spend some time in prayer and silence which I see them leave with a sense of renewed strength and peace.

Our parish is a testimony of the Love of GOD for all of us, in the parish people participate in the Eucharist with deep faith and also actively join in the various activities of the parish. The parishioners are generous in offering their time and resources for the welfare of the parish and parish community.

Our parish in many ways is like place of ‘spiritual heritage’ in the archdiocese of Bangalore, because of the special devotion to the sacred heart of Jesus. I pray that God will bless abundantly everyone who calls on the ‘sacred heart’ of Jesus with faith.
